WOC Trip :)

This week, on Monday through Wednesday, I went with my grade to a camp an hour away. The trip was called WOC (World is Our Classroom). The trips main purpose was for the 8th graders and the 7th graders to grow a bond between them and create new friendships. You see, 7th grade is considered High School here in Brazil, so technically this is our frist year of high school. The school wants the 8th graders to be there to help us with anything we need. We did many team activities and I actually did meet lots of new people.  I thought that it was really fun and I can't wait to go next year.
This is Jessica. She is a friend that I have made here and that went on the WOC trip with me.

The pool at WOC was freezing! But is was refreshing when it got REALLY hot. (Left to RIght: Me, Jessica, and Lucia another friend)

When doing team activities, we were divided into groups and had to come up with group names and cheers.  Our group name was "Snap Daddy" I really had no say in it but, yeah...;)

This was a net/ climby wall thingy. (descriptive words ;) After we had our teams, we held something kinda like the "Amazing Race"  where one person on the team would have to complete a challenge, then pass the team's jersey to the next team-member.

The next day, we started to make rockets out of bottles. Here we are just decorating them but later during the trip, they have a special machine that they shoot the rockets from and ours went surprisingly high. Yay!

Here is Jessica and I (on the trip we spent lots of time together on the trip cause of same room, group, and we have lots of the same interests :) We were talking to Mrs.Cordell (math teacher) while watching others "attempt" to fish.

Here we are at the lake, right after swimming and are trying to warm ourselves.. ;)

This is all of the seventh grade that had come on the trip. There were at least 5 people not there. Its too bad they missed this year but next year they could come again.

Finally, on the last night, we roasted marsh mellows! I actually cooked 3, but one fell right as I brought it to my mouth, so I just ate 2... very disappointing (hehe)
